"It was a dark and stormy night..."

Madeleine L'Engle, author of "A Wrinkle in Time," died last week. The NY Times obit includes of all kinds of interesting bits of trivia including the fact that L'Engle received 26 rejections for the manuscript of "A Wrinkle In Time" before it was accepted by a publisher.

So I have to admit that I really don't know who she was. But I am impressed by her tenacity: 26 rejections.

I should remember that when I get a rejection letter for a publication.

yeah B,

I'll have to keep her in mind too, when the evil editors (er, I meant genius editors) turn me down.
