The Flying Scotsman (2006) is based on the autobiography of Graeme Obree, a Scottish cyclist who is famous for designing his own bike and introducing a new riding position. Most memorable for the press and non-cyclists, he is known for having incorporated part of his washing machine in the bike that he built.I had heard an interview with Billy Boyd (you may know him as Pippin from The Lord of the Rings triology), who plays Obree's friend/manager, and I put the movie in the queue. I'd previously never heard of this person, but when I told B I'd heard about this new movie about a guy who built a bike with a part from his washing machine, he knew exactly who it was (of course).
We really enjoyed the film. You don't have to be a bike lover, but it doesn't hurt.
I give it 4 1/2 chainrings.
